In the evening of the last Sunday, January, 30th, the third concert of Insula Magica took place in our church building. Insula Magica is the early music ensemble based in Novosibirsk State Philharmonic Society. They perform medieval and baroque music with authentic instruments. This “concert season” (from the fall of 2010 through the spring of 2011) they perform four times in our church. It is always a great pleasure to host this very professional and interesting group.

Many people, who are coming to these concerts, are entering the church for the first time. We pray that after being in the church and listening (often) church music, somebody will come againg to listen the preaching.

On the last Sunday (January, 30) we celebrated the day of Stt. Timothy and Titus, bishops and martyrs. The Bible lessons and prayers of this day stress very much the “God-giveness” and importance of the Holy ministry.

At this service the new communicant has joined our congregation. Sonya Mamlina were confirmed and received her first Holy Communion.

After a Christmas and a New Year break Sunday School classes resumed this Sunday. Following our pattern, after studying one of the OT book in autumn, we proceed with one of the Gospel in spring semester. This year we continue to read the Gospel of Luke.
